I knew it.. all of you guys miss me right????
Back from Penang, everyday full of sumptuous meal of uniquely-penang food and I put on weight from all these unhealthy food.
Enough shit, lets get to the schedule..
Thurs(On bus)
- Five star tour bus to penang since wasn't in a rush and dad already flew over to Penang.
- Great feature.. dam spacious.. tried to stretch but can't really reach the seat infront of me
- Television and mp3 provided by them
- Super cold aircon
Fri (Reach funeral palour)
- Straight to the funeral palour
- Reach there and get change to the funeral clothings provided
- Fill in boxes of paper ingots for ahma (more ingots=more blessing)
- Fold bags and bags of paper ingots
- Eat nonstop by the market, all the food was around S$0.80 and drink at S$0.20
- Around 3, Sai kong came to set up his prop
- Conduct several rituals

>Transporting of grandma's soul to her "house"
>Blessing the family
>Pray to god
>Asking grandma to eat
>Burn the 3m high"house", 4 slaves and 2 bartlers and hundreds of ingots to grandma
>Asking grandma to sleep

-Went grandma house to get few of her stuffs
-Bath since it was very warm
-Discover grandma keeps an album of my dad's pictures by her side
-Stay overnight at funeral palour
-Too tired, stay over at hotel owned by dad's friend at cheap price
Sat (Burial day)
-Wake up morning, eat a big bowl of wanton mee at S$0.70
-The hokkien band came to play songs
-Kneeling and paying respect to grandma
-2 roasted pigs
-MORE FOOD
-More rituals and rituals
-Received ah bao from sai kong but it should be "grandma"
Sat (Set off)
-Grandma's coffin was carried to the van
-Walk to the burial site on foot
-Motorcycles infront and behind to guard us
-Truck infront carrying all the things
-2 paper sedans carried by the undertakers
-Sai kong chanting sutra all the way to the burial site
Sat (Reach burial site)
-Took off the white cloth on right hand and the wood material sew on the shirt
-Pass it to the undertakers
-Get some coins mixed in beans and rice
-Burn the sedans and more ingots
-Went back to butterworth with grandma's altar
Extra:
-Grandma pass away at an age of 97
-She had 16 grandchildren (excluding external)
-I realise I had an uncle who pass away at 8months year old, heard he was curse to death
-The Sai kong pratically got tired giving out joss sticks to so many people
-4th generation did not need to be in mourning, cause they are consider far off, but they wore red ribbons around their body as a mark
-Cannot host any better than grandfather's, or else it is consider unfair, but we burn a bigger house for grandma as Sai kong say grandma can invite grandfather over and can rent grandfather house to others
Sun (Free day for me)
Didnt have to go to the grandma's grave so spend whole day with cousin and his wife. Watched hell lot of DVDs and then eat tons of junkie. Went to their shopping mall, everything so cheap and the imitation products were so real and cheap. Lots of variety of NICE clothes which were too small for me, sad. Cousin's wife craving for chips so we ended up buying alot chips back.
Cousin went: "HOLY SHIT!"
